Death Valley National Park

We will be departing from the church at 5:30PM
This is a three day event. We will be staying at Panamint Springs RV Park. The outing theme is Astronomy and if we have adults with telescopes please contact Mr. Lindahl. If you are the merit badge counciller please help with this outing.

Ventana Campground

This is a full backpacking event. Check the weather and pack accordingly.
Ventana Campground in Big Sur, located approximately 65 miles north of San Simeon and 30 miles south of Carmel, is an amazing 40 acre redwood canyon. All of the traditional sites follow the existing contour of the canyon and Post Creek without disturbing its natural beauty.

Clouds Rest

This outing is a backpacking outing. Please check the weather and pack accordingly.
Clouds Rest is a mountain in Yosemite National Park east northeast of Yosemite Village, California. Although there are many peaks in the park having far greater elevation, Clouds Rest's proximity to the valley gives it a very high degree of visual prominence.

2019 Conclave

Cutter Scout Reservation is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, San Mateo County, approximately 54 miles from Palo Alto. Cutter is about 2,200 feet in elevation and is in some of the last old-growth redwoods on the west coast.
A Conclave is a gathering of arrowmen that is organized and planned each year by the section. At a typical Conclave you will be able to learn a variety of new things in the training sessions that are offered. You can meet arrowmen from other lodges and trade patches. Lodges compete against each other in competitions, some of which you won't find anywhere else.

Port San Luis

This outing is our yearly family camp. Each family competes in a Dutch Oven cook-off. First place winner gets a prize. We will also take a trip into town and kayak. Then the families can have lunch in town with their scouts. Its a very fun event so please register as soon as possible.

Camp Makualla

This is the troops summer camp for 2019.
Camp Makualla is located at Crescent Lake in South-Central Oregon near Crater Lake National Park. Camp is approximately 4,500 feet elevation and beautiful waterfront provides swimming and all lake activities. Available activities include rifle range, shotgun range, archery range, hiking, mountain biking trails and fishing. Drinking water, restrooms and showers are available. We will be leaving the day before camp starts and coming back the day after camp end via Amtrak. Amtrak is an extra fee so please plan accordingly. Bring extra money for food there and back.

Train Trip
July 19, 2019 7:00 am - July 21, 2019 5:00 pm
This outing is a multipart outing. All gear except day pack will be heading up in a truck. We will depart Fresno and head to Sacramento via Amtrak. We will depart Amtrak and walk to train museum. After museum we will head to the steam train and ride down and back part of the river. This is where the instructor will give merit badge class. We will then break and let scouts have a few hours in Old Sacramento. They we will depart to camp area. Sunday we will head home via Amtrak.
The California State Railroad Museum is a museum in the state park system of California, USA, interpreting the role of the "iron horse" in connecting California to the rest of the nation. It is located in Old Sacramento at 111 I Street.

Whiskey Falls

This is a fishing outing near home. Its a great campground just above Millerton Lake. A true hidden gem!
6000ft elevation. 14 primitive campsites near Whiskey Falls. View the scenic falls and enjoy quiet rustic camping in this remote setting. Fishing in the creek. Picnicking and camping.

Programming Conference

This is a manditory outing!
Friday night we will quickly setup camp and have a small JLT. Followed by campfire and cracker barrel.
Saturday morning after and amazing breakfast we will plan the 2019-2020 year. All events will be researched and finalized by dinner. After dinner we will have the new officers induction ceremony. Followed by campfire and dessert.
Sunday morning after the breakdown of camp and scouts own we will depart.
